Puducherry: The prize-giving ceremony of the National Taekwondo Tournament is going on in Puducherry today.

National level Karate, Kickboxing and Taekwondo competitions started yesterday at Uppalam Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium.

Puducherry State All Sportsmen’s Association President Ilangovan presided over the opening ceremony of the three-day tournament. Minister Namachivayam inaugurated the sports competition.

Athletes from different states of the country are participating in the competitions in sub-junior, junior, senior and open weight categories.

IG Chandran will present prizes to the winners of the competitions at a function to be held this evening.
