The national team will play on Thursday (21:45) its most crucial game in recent years (21/03, 21:45, ALPHA+Novasports Prime) against Kazakhstan for the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 playoffs.
Around 18,000 tickets have already been sold, but the crowd is expected to be even more, which led to the opening of the second stadium of the OPAP Arena for the first time in a “blue and white” match.
In numbers, this means that a total of around 27,000-28,000 tickets are expected to be made available.
The Greeks will provide a strong presence to support Gustavo Poget’s players in the most important step for qualifying for Euro 2024.
National team: The great friendly against Germany on June 7 is official
The EPO has made official the staging of the great friendly between Greece and Germany at Borussia Park on June 7, one week before the start of the Euros. The Federation issued a statement and disclosed details about the very strong test of the representative group.

The national team will face the organizer of the European Championship, Germany, in a friendly match that will be held on Friday, June 7 at Borussia Park in Monchengladbach at 20:45 (local time).
This match will be the 10th in the history of the national team with Germany and the 2nd that will be friendly. The last time the two teams played was on June 22, 2012 in the quarter-finals of the European Championship in Gdansk, where Germany prevailed 4-2 (Greece’s goals were scored by Samaras and Salpingidis).
The big Germany-Greece friendly is scheduled exactly a week before the start of EURO 2024 and will be the last for the hosts before the tournament opener Germany-Scotland on June 14.
