Rediscovered solidity. After conceding two goals in their first two scores of the season, FC Versailles managed to keep their goal clean and leave with the point of the draw at Le Mans (0-0) this Friday during the 4th day of National.
Mistreated at the start of the game, the Yvelines team came close to conceding the opener on a direct corner from Le Méhauté on the left upright of Renot (4th) then on a penalty from Gueye on the right post of Renot ( 8th). The game is then balanced and the draw finally seems fair in view of the last 80 minutes. Dutch star Jeremain Lens has returned after his new fatherhood.
In reconstruction this season, FC Versailles starts its season timidly with two draws and a defeat (its match against Sochaux on the first day has been postponed). Laurent Peyrelade’s men are still in the relegation zone (15th) in a championship currently dominated by Villefranche.
