Tijuana, BC.- According to the civil association Nación Verde AC, in the Willows Park sage apiana, farinosa encelina, asplecias, which are native species of the region, will be planted.
Octavio López, director of the AC, explained that the purpose of this plantation is to help improve the treatment of wastewater that makes its way from the Willows Park (Mexico) to the Binational Basin of the Tijuana River (USA).

For this reason, the environmental activist said that it is currently necessary to remove plants such as the Dedo Moro and other species, since they are exotic and invasive species that displace native species and negatively affect local ecosystems and do not help pollinators.
