MOSCOW (Reuters) – President Vladimir Putin has warned Russia that Finland and Sweden have no problem joining NATO, but said that if NATO’s troops and infrastructure were deployed there, they would have the same reaction and threaten territory.

NATO has extended an official invitation to Sweden and Finland to apply for membership in the context of the Ukraine occupation. Membership is available only after a one-year process.
