NATO nations are considering a new strategy to counter Russia’s war on Ukraine. This sudden move by NATO countries has escalated war tensions in the Ukraine region.
Ukraine’s attempt to join the NATO alliance is the main reason for Russia’s war on the country. First, NATO nations, including the United States, have publicly warned that they would wage war on Russia if it attacked Ukraine. But regardless, Russia invaded Ukraine on the 24th of last month. Despite Russia’s invasion of Ukraine for more than three weeks, NATO nations have not stepped in to stop it.
However, NATO countries are said to be providing only arms assistance to Ukraine. In addition, NATO has stationed troops in its neighbors, including Poland, to warn Russia. The world saw this as a threat to Russia. But Russia last week launched a missile attack on a Ukrainian military base on the Polish border. This is seen as a warning from Russia to NATO countries.
Following this, NATO countries have decided to threaten Russia in another way. Accordingly, it appears that NATO plans to expand its forces to countries closest to Russia. In a statement issued today, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, “We need to adapt our NATO forces to the current extraordinary situation.
