Thrissur:The semi-finals of the Navio Youth Trophy cricket tournament will be held on Friday at Mundoor Atreya Cricket Academy ground. In the first match, Atreya Cricket Club Thrissur will face Swadens Cricket Club Ernakulam. In the second match, Trident Cricket Academy will face Thrissur Loongs Cricket Academy.
In the first match on Thursday, Loongs defeated Vintage Academy Kottayam by four wickets. Score: Vintage 196/6 (30 overs), Loongs 197/6 (29 overs), Man of the Match: Jishnu 77 (57), Loongs.
In the second match, Pratibha Cricket Club defeated Alleppey Cricket Club by one run. Score: Pratibha 147/10 (23 overs), Alleppey 146/8 (25 overs). Man of the Match: Shine John Jacob – 40 (38), 28/2.
The final is on Saturday. Atreya CEO at 3.30 pm. KV Former Indian star S. Sreesanth will present the prize. Former Indian football player Victor Manjila, former South Region player and coach P. Balachandran will be the chief guests. Kerala player Rohan Prem, who became the first to score 5000 runs in Ranji Trophy cricket, will be honored at the function.
