Mirzapur: Shardiya Navratri is starting from October 3, for which preparations have been completed in the major temples of the Goddess. This time the doors of the famous Maa Vindhyavasini temple will be open 24 hours for the devotees to visit and worship. However, for the four times of Aarti, the doors of the temple will be closed for one hour during each Aarti.
President of Shri Vindhya Panda Samaj, Pankaj Dwivedi said that the doors of the temple will be reopened for the devotees after Mangala Aarti, Rajshree Aarti, Evening Aarti and Night Shringaar Aarti. This special arrangement will remain in force for nine days. During the Navratri fair, the mother will not sleep after the big Aarti decoration, due to which the devotees will be able to have darshan of Maa Vindhyavasini continuously.
aarti time
The timing of aartis has also been fixed during Navratri. Mangala Aarti will be from 3 am to 4 am, Rajshree Aarti in the afternoon will be from 12 pm to 1 pm, Chhoti Aarti will be from 7 to 8 pm and Big Aarti will be from 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Bathing will be allowed only at three ghats
Due to high water level of river Ganga and presence of mud and swamp on the ghats, this time devotees have been allowed to take bath only at three ghats – Gudara Ghat, Pakka Ghat and Diwan Ghat. District officials took this decision after inspection. Municipal Executive Officer Goa Lal said that bathing is not being allowed at other ghats due to depth and muddy conditions.
prevent step touch
Devotees will not be able to touch the feet of Mother Vindhyavasini during Navratri. Along with this, movement of heavy vehicles will be prohibited around the temple from October 2 till the end of the fair. Such vehicles will be sent through alternative routes. The traffic department has also made special arrangements, in which the system of route diversion has been implemented. Only vehicles connected to essential services such as petroleum, gas, and fire brigade vehicles will be able to enter the city.
Entry through VIP lane for devotees
President of Shri Vindhya Panda Samaj said that for the convenience of the devotees, separate entrances have been made in the temple. Devotees will enter the sanctum sanctorum through Ganesh Dwar from the New VIP Lane. Devotees coming from Jaipuria Gali and Pakka Ghat will use the second entry gate. Devotees lining up on Kotwali Marg will be able to have darshan only from the tableau.
Special arrangements for traders also
Giving relief to traders, the administration has allowed six-wheeler goods vehicles to enter the city from 12 midnight to 2 am from Chilah Picket. This arrangement has been made for essential food items and other supplies. At the same time, heavy vehicles going out of the city have been allowed to travel through Varanasi-Rewa Highway from 10 pm to 6 am.
