In a post on X titled Jaishreeram, Nayanthara said her act of being a believer was not intentional and she did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments. After the incident became controversial, Netflix withdrew the film. Cases were filed against Nayanthara and others in the states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
