South Indian lady superstar Nayanthara and director Vignesh Sivan got married in June last year. Even the outside media was not allowed to attend the wedding, which was attended by even Bollywood celebrities.
The news that followed was that the celebratory wedding will be released as a documentary on Netflix. Confirming this, Netflix also released a teaser in September. The documentary was expected to arrive in October and November. But after a few days of marriage, no news about the documentary has been heard. There is still no official announcement that it will be released.
Meanwhile, actress Hansika got married two months ago. Following Nayanthara’s footsteps, Hansika also decided to give her wedding as an OTT documentary. Hansika’s wedding video was acquired by Disney Plus Hotstar instead of Netflix. It has also been announced that Hotstar will release a documentary titled ‘Love Shaadi Drama’ from February 10.
Still, Netflix has not announced that Nayanthara’s wedding video will be released. The answer to the question why Nayanthara-Vignesh Shivan wedding video is getting delayed is because of the director Vignesh.

The documentary is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon under Vicky’s Rowdy Pictures banner. The India Today report says that although it is certain that the documentary will be released on Netflix, it is not clear when. According to the India Today report, Vicky has significant involvement in the making of the documentary and he is still continuing to shoot for the documentary.

Reportedly, Vignesh Sivan is very keen on the production of the documentary and the shooting will continue till January 23. Once the shooting is complete, the post production work will take another month. So fans may have to wait till March and April to watch Nayanthara’s wedding video.
Not just the usual wedding video, fans are hoping for the upcoming Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’. The documentary will cover Nayanthara’s life, romance with Vicky, marriage and family life.
