A fairy tale for the moment without a future. After playing his first NBA game alongside his father LeBron on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, Bronny James will continue his development outside of the Los Angeles Lakers first team. The young 20-year-old will in fact play this season in the G-League, a sort of antechamber to the prestigious North American championship, according to information of ESPN.
In fact, he should wear the colors of the South Bay franchise, located in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Bronny James, who did not play during his team’s spectacular victory over Phoenix on Friday night (123-116), will remain with the Lakers for some time before the scheduled start of the G-League season for November 9th. He will therefore split his time between the two franchises.
“Bronny’s proposed move between the Lakers and South Bay has been planned since day one,” coach JJ Redick said Friday. “I look forward to seeing him continue to progress, both here with us and with the G League team,” said LeBron James, who became the first basketball player in NBA history to play with his son.
