The new season of the National Basketball Association will begin with a match between the record holder for NBA titles, the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.
The meeting will be held in Boston’s “TD Garden” hall, in which Boston will receive their rings for the title won at the end of last season and will hang their 18th championship banner.
Boston has historically dominated against New York with 304 wins and 190 losses.
The champions will aim for win number 305 on October 22 (early hours of October 23 Bulgarian time).
Last season, “Boston” and “New York” were first and second in the Eastern Conference, but did not meet in the playoffs.
Celtics big star Jayson Tatum has averaged 23 points, 8 rebounds and 3.8 assists against New York in 25 games.
For comparison, Jaylen Brunson averaged 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 16 games against Boston.
On October 22, in addition to Boston and New York, there will be another game in Los Angeles, where the host Los Angeles Lakers will host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
