Mark Harmon and son Sean Harmon are teaming up for a new CBS drama series, “NCIS: Origins,” which will serve as a prequel to the long-running procedural show “NCIS.” The network has given a straight-to-series order for the 2024-25 broadcast season.
The new series will be narrated by Mark Harmon and will explore the early years of Leroy Jethro Gibbs in 1991, before the events of “NCIS.” Gibbs starts his career as a special agent at the NCIS Camp Pendleton office and will be portrayed by a new lead actor, as casting is currently underway.
Sean Harmon, who has played the younger version of Gibbs on “NCIS,” is stepping into an executive producing role alongside his father, alongside veteran “NCIS” writers-producers Gina Lucita Monreal and David J.
