The underlying philosophy for these servers aims for standard, simple, and slow gameplay. Rather than rushing through the early stages of character growth, players experience a gradual journey beginning with the No-Grade weapon known as the Falchion.
Overlord: Bartz Class Adds Fast Combat
Alongside the fresh servers, the update introduces a new agile, dagger-wielding melee combat class named Overlord: Bartz
that features fast-paced combat. Developers linked the class concept to the historical Bartz Liberation War,
a notable event from the history of the Lineage 2 community.

While the company states an intention to narrow the progression gap between players, commentators point out that slower progression rules do not automatically guarantee a fairer environment if paid boosts are introduced later. These rewards run until November 25, 2026, and include attendance reward missions distributing four types of Black Coupons to restore destroyed items, a 23rd Anniversary Special Equipment Selection Ticket, and a 23rd Anniversary Hair Accessory.
Players also receive a 23rd Anniversary Cube that yields daily consumables and other items across a 28-day period. An event titled Patissier's Invitation requires players to protect the 23rd Anniversary Celebration Cake from bandits twice daily to earn rewards, while the party dungeon Eroded Nest challenges players to defeat monsters across four areas to secure a large amount of experience points along with bonus monsters appearing at set intervals.
