This choice of the Kingdom has allowed hundreds of Chadian nationals to train in Morocco and currently, these laureates participate in all sectors in the progress of their country, underlined Mr. Erroja during a welcoming ceremony for students benefiting from Moroccan scholarships at the level of academic and professional training, organized Monday at the headquarters of the Moroccan embassy in N’Djamena.

The Moroccan diplomat who congratulated the students selected to benefit from a scholarship in Morocco, noted that this choice is not fortuitous but results from a process that made it possible to select the best candidates to benefit from these Excellence scholarships to pursue higher education in preparatory classes, institutes, grandes écoles and Moroccan universities.

Mr. Erroja indicated that for this academic year, 78 candidates will opt for studies in architecture and urban planning, commerce and management, applied sciences, mathematics, mining, higher studies in technology, engineering sciences, agronomic and veterinary studies, as well as technological studies (Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence).

In addition to these disciplines, this year saw a new development in the training of doctors, 21 Chadian doctors were preselected for possible registration in postgraduate studies for the year 2023/2024. 13 doctors among them will benefit from training for a medical specialty while 8 bachelors were preselected for training as doctors of medicine. Moreover, the 21 files are submitted to the universities for assessment and the outcome will be communicated to the beneficiaries, he added.

“100 academic scholarships, 50 professional training scholarships, rich and promising courses, we have reason to be proud, happy, and above all satisfied with the success of academic cooperation between Morocco and Chad. A successful partnership model that should consolidate the links between the two brother countries,” rejoiced Mr. Erroja.

Addressing the students of vocational training, the Moroccan diplomat affirmed that this is the third promotion of Chadian candidates who have benefited from this new model of tripartite cooperation between the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, the Moroccan Office for Vocational Training and Work Promotion (OFPPT) and the Chadian Ministry of Vocational Training, Trades and Microfinance.

The Moroccan diplomat reiterated that this action is part of the dynamics that characterize the relations between Morocco and Chad, which are based on the guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who makes the South-South partnership a priority of the Kingdom’s foreign policy, and also on the importance given by the highest authorities of Chad to vocational training as a lever of the economy and an essential choice for the integration of young graduates into socio-economic life.
