The ship was intercepted during the night from Sunday to Monday, the Senegalese army said in a previous statement sent to the press agency on Tuesday. He was then escorted to a naval base in Dakar where he arrived on Tuesday to “identification and counting of seized products”.

The crew includes a Senegalese and “the investigation is ongoing”, told AFP a navy official who did not specify the nationality of the other people who were on board the ship and their origin. He was intercepted “in international waters”he added.
