With the support of the National Institute for Adult Education (INEA), 373,636 women aged 15 or over are enrolled in basic education through primary and secondary literacy services.
Of these, 61,113 are learning to read and write; 201 thousand 439 study secondary school and 111 thousand 84 primary school. Data from Inea indicate that the largest number of women who are behind in education, but who have decided to complete their basic education, are concentrated in Chiapas, Veracruz, the state of Mexico, Guerrero and Puebla.
By educational level, the agency highlights that the states with the highest rate of young and adult women studying high school are: Chiapas, Mexico, Mexico City, Jalisco, Puebla and Tlaxcala.
The largest number of women who are learning to read and write reside in Chiapas, Veracruz, Mexico, Guerrero, and Puebla; and the largest primary care is concentrated in Chiapas, Mexico, Veracruz, Oaxaca and Puebla.
With an educational model that allows anyone over the age of 15 to complete basic education, who for whatever reason was unable to continue their studies, Inea has various care modalities, either with learning guides or knowledge recognition. .
It has the virtual modality, AprendeINEA online and the AprendeINEA Education for Life Model, which is offered in 66,620 service centers throughout the country, called Study Circles and Community Plazas.
