They gave BGN 69,176, and 51 of the members of the EP, or the members of initiative committees, got involved with a total of just over BGN 30,000. According to the official statistics, only 3 coalitions and one party collected external donations for the Euro vote: “The Left”, “We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria” and “Solidary Bulgaria”, as well as “There is such a people”.
BGN 6,654 went to the accounts of “Levitsa”, whose list for the European Parliament was led by Valery Zablyanov. There are 6 donations and almost half of them come from Valeri Ivanov. Two well-known persons also gave money – the spokesman of Kostadin Paskalev and Spas Panchev, who is the chairman of the BZNS “Alexander Stamboliyski”.
For municipal councilor Vanya Grigorova and her “Solidary Bulgaria” there are two donations – for a little over BGN 5,250. Almost the entire amount, BGN 5,000, comes from Ilcho Duganov’s salary. He is also the largest individual donor to the EP.
PP-DB, which are traditionally one of the biggest users of donations, received only 4 transfers from outsiders for the Eurovote. And up to small amounts from two people. One is for 400 BGN from Tsvetan Asenov and three – from 144, 200 and 528 BGN from Svetoslava Simeonova.
Ivaylo Valchev took the most money from supporters of the EP, which they sent to Brussels. They have 28 translations, each of BGN 2,000.
