The Nebraska volleyball team has reason to celebrate as they have secured the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. This means that they will have the opportunity to continue playing at home for the next couple of weekends.
As the No. 1 seed, Nebraska will have the honor of hosting the first two weekends of the NCAA Tournament, giving them a significant home court advantage. The Semifinals and Final of the tournament will take place in Tampa Bay, offering an exciting prospect for the team.
Nebraska will begin their postseason journey against Long Island on Friday at 8 pm CST. The Sharks have defied expectations by securing a spot in the tournament, winning the Northeast Conference Tournament by upsetting the top two seeds. The other teams in Lincoln for the first and second rounds are Missouri (8) and Delaware, who will face off on Friday at 5:30 pm CST. The winners will meet on Saturday at 8 pm CST.
If everything goes according to seeding, Nebraska’s path to the national championship would include matchups against Long Island, Missouri, Florida, Kentucky, and Pitt. It’s an exciting prospect for the team, and their fans will be eagerly anticipating their progress in the tournament.
