England’s wicketkeeper – batsman Jose Butler is playing in the best form of his career. Butler continued his impressive form in the ODI series against the Netherlands and his batting prowess in the third ODI of the series. During the match, Butler slipped the ball out of the hands of the Netherlands bowler and bounced off the pitch to a huge six. Butler led England to victory in the match.

The incident took place in the 29th over of the England innings. The ball slipped from the hands of Netherlands pacer Paul van Meekern, who came on to bowl the over. During an attempt to throw a slow bouncer, the ball slipped from Mikaran’s hand and bounced off the pitch, then went in the direction of the leg side and bounced off the pitch a second time. The umpire called a no-ball, but Butler followed the ball down the crease and hit a six over the deep-backed square leg.

The Netherlands’ 245-run target in the match was surpassed by England, who lost just two wickets in just 31 overs to sweep the three-match series. Opener Jason Roy’s century (101 *) and Butler’s smashing half – century (86 * off 64 balls) helped England to a quick victory. The duo put on an unbeaten 163 for the third wicket.
