jpnn.comSEMARANG – The investigation into the death of a young doctor named Aulia Risma Lestari, a student in the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) at Diponegoro University (Undip) Semarang is still ongoing.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Undip Semarang, Yan Wisnu Prajoko, said the investigation was carried out by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) and the Semarang Police.

“As I said earlier, the investigation process is ongoing,” said Yan Wisnu in a press statement, Friday (23/8).

Yan Wisnu said that Undip will comply with all investigation results from the Ministry of Health and Semarang Police. Including imposing severe sanctions if there are allegations of bullying related to the death of a medical student at PPDS.

“We are open when there is something wrong with strong evidence, we will act according to the applicable law,” he said.

However, Yan said that the internal investigation did not find any allegations of bullying behind Dr. Aulia’s death.

“During education, we concluded that there was no aspect of bullying behind it,” he said.

He explained that the burden of PPDS Anesthesia at Dr Kariadi Central General Hospital (RSUP) is quite heavy, where Undip Semarang students practice.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, said that more complex regulations are needed to improve lectures after the commotion over the death of a medical student.
