Brussels, Belgium): Grenada’s Anderson Peters has won the javelin throw event in the Diamond League Final. He finished first with a best throw of 87.87 meters. Peters made this throw in his very first round. India’s Neeraj Chopra had to settle for second place. Neeraj threw 87.86 meters in the third round. He missed the first place by just one centimeter. For the second consecutive year, Neeraj finished second in the Diamond League Final.
Neeraj Chopra remained at second place
In the last round, despite all his efforts, Neeraj Chopra could only throw 86.46 meters. With this, he had to be satisfied with the second position. Last year itself, he was second in the Diamond League final. Julian Weber of Germany secured the third position with a best throw of 85.97 meters.
