Neeraj Chopra won the Padma Shri and the Distinguished Service Medal

Neeraj Chopra wins gold medal at Tokyo Olympics Neeraj also bagged the Distinguished Service Medal. Neeraj Chopra, a member of the 4th Rajputana Rifles, is a Subedar in the Army. Recently, the country honored him with the Dhyanchand Khel Ratna, the country’s highest sporting honor.

Apart from Neeraj Chopra, Pramod Bhagat, Vandana Katteria, Sumit Antil, Faisal Ali Dar, Avani Lekhara and Brahmanand Shankhwalkar also received the Padma Shri award and Paralympian Devendra Jazaria, a double gold medalist, received the Padma Bhushan.
