by time news
The bill seeking exemption for Tamil Nadu from NEET examination was passed in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on September 13 last year and sent to the Governor. The Governor said that the bill was against the judgment of the Supreme Court and sent it back to the Government of Tamil Nadu without sending it to the President.

Condemning the Governor’s action, the Government of Tamil Nadu convened a special assembly and again passed the NEET Exemption Bill and sent it to the Governor. The Government of Tamil Nadu insisted that the NEET Exemption Bill should be forwarded to the President and that the Governor should not delay in this matter.

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu had already written a letter to Governor RN Ravi regarding this. The Tamil Nadu government boycotted the governor’s Tamil New Year tea party, saying it would delay the sending of the NEET exemption bill to the president. In his letter, the Chief Minister had said that it would not be appropriate to attend a tea party at the Governor’s House today in view of the overall sentiment of the people of Tamil Nadu and the prestige of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.

The Chief Minister told the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, “I will continue to strive for the welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu.

I will continue to oppose the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu in all forums. Today is the 70th day since we passed the returned bill to this session of the Legislature 8-2-2022 and sent it back to the state governors.

In this context, there are reports in the media that the state governor has decided to send the NEED bill to the president. I will look into the steps to be taken and, if necessary, convene an all-party meeting to discuss and decide on the next steps. ”

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Governor RN Ravi has decided to send the NEET Exemption Bill to President Ramnath Govind following the completion of the review and reference work on the NEET Exemption Bill passed in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. It is said that the details related to this are to be reported to the Chief Minister’s Office.
