Chennai: The Governor’s House has informed that the bill seeking exemption for Tamil Nadu from the ‘Need’ examination is under consideration.

During the assembly election campaign, the DMK promised, “Once we come to power, the NEET election will be canceled.” The DMK won the election and formed the government. During the first assembly session of the new government, which was held from August to September, a bill seeking an exemption for Tamil Nadu from the NEET examination was passed and sent to the Governor for approval.

The governor must approve it and send it to Central Lacquer. With the recommendation of the Federal Government, it will be sent to the President for approval. Is law only if approved by the President; Get exempt from NEET exam. But the governor has not yet sent the bill to the federal government.

In this context, academician Prince Gajendrababu sought information from the House of Governors on the status of the NEET Exemption Bill under the Right to Information Act. The House of Governors responded by saying, “The bill seeking an exemption from the NEET test is under consideration by the Governor.”

Officials did not respond to a request for comment from the governor’s office and the chief secretary’s office on whether the governor’s office had asked for any clarification on the NEET exemption bill.
