Negotiations in Almaty will be very useful for the settlement of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations.
As Day.Az reported on Friday, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said this during a trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of Armenia and Kazakhstan.
“An important element of the latest negotiations is also the fact of signing the protocol, which marked the beginning of the process of delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border.<...> We pay special attention to this process. I am confident that the talks in Almaty will be very useful and we will be able to work productively over the next two days to find solutions to existing open issues,” he said.
Jeyhun Bayramov added that regular meetings on the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan are an important element of the process of preparing a peace agreement.
Let us note that the head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry is on a visit to the city of Almaty. As part of the visit, it is planned to hold the next round of negotiations between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the draft “Bilateral Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations” between the two countries.
Let us recall that on April 30, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, said that Baku and Yerevan confirmed their participation in the negotiations in Almaty.
Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed a platform for negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
