Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has come up with an explanation for inviting Home Minister Amit Shah as the chief guest for the Nehru Trophy Boat Race. The government also stated that the Chief Ministers of South India will also participate in the meeting.

Meanwhile, AA Shukur, member of the Nehru Trophy Executive Committee and KPCC General Secretary, also came forward with a response. Shukur revealed that the meeting of the executive committee held two weeks ago had fixed the Chief Minister as the chief guest.
