Lalu has given the responsibility of running the party to his son Tejaswi as he is involved in corruption cases and his health is suffering.
Now, Tejashwi is the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. The Rashtriya Janata Dal has more members in the Assembly than the United Janata Dal. Nitish Kumar never fails to sing the praises of Tejashwi whenever he gets the chance as he has to drive the cart at the behest of Tejaswi.
Speaking at a recent event, Nitish Kumar said, ‘In the next assembly elections, Tejashwi will be the leader of our alliance; He is the next chief minister…’ he said.
The opposition party took this issue seriously and said, ‘Why should we wait until the next election? Tejaswi should be made the Chief Minister now…’ they taunt Nitish Kumar.
Shocked, Nitish said, ‘I don’t know if the opposition parties are talking like this because of Tejaswi’s decision. Close your eyes now…’ he says in frustration.
