Popular Indian television drama ‘Ogo Badhu Sundari’ famous actress Ritabhari Chakraborty. After the small screen, he has also stepped into the silver world. His new movie is ‘Bahurupi’. It stars Ritabhari and Abir Chatterjee. Directed by Nandita Roy and Shivprasad Mukherjee, the movie will release on Durga Puja.
Ritabhari is currently busy with the promotion of the movie. He gave an interview to an Indian media. It was asked in this conversation that you have several intimate scenes. Did you have any problems while shooting?
In response, Ritabhari Chakraborty said, ‘Abirada feels comfortable with me, there is that understanding. Otherwise our pair would not have progressed so far. We are not a duo like Uttamkumar-Suchitra Sen or Shah Rukh Khan-Kajal. So every time we have to create chemistry. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are a real life couple. So people have an idea about them. But we have to make it.’
Describing the experience of shooting intimate scenes, Ritabhari Chakraborty said, ‘Abirda has a world of wife and family. I have another world. As humans we are different. But we are respectful and comfortable with each other. I was able to act in the intimate scenes because neither I nor Abirda are sexually active. So in these scenes there was never any discomfort in each other’s touch.’
Citing an example, Ritabhari Chakraborty said, “I was able to bring out the chemistry of husband and wife in ‘Fatafati’ because there is this understanding.” I myself saw our pair as spectators. All I can say is, after the Bumbada season, I found that chemistry between our duo. It’s like two people really want each other very much.”
Ritabhari made her television debut through the serial ‘Ogo Badhu Sundari’. In 2011, he entered the big screen with the movie ‘Tomar Sath Praner Khel’. However, the film was not released. His first movie ‘Tabu Basant’ was released in 2012. Notable films in which Ritabhari acted are — ‘Chatushkon’, ‘Barood’, ‘Pari’, ‘Shih Se Shru’ etc.
