The Council of Ministers appointed Lamberto Giannini Chief of Police. It happens to Franco Gabrielli, of whom he was the right hand man, which means that the already formidable system of power (said without negative nuances) of the undersecretary of the secret services is strengthened. The line chosen by Mario Draghi is very clear: in a terribly critical phase it is necessary to guarantee the uniqueness of the command in the operational structures to aim for the speed of decisions and efficiency in execution.. This pattern is evident in the two sectors, economy and security, which must provide the most difficult answers to the crises that the country is experiencing. We will discuss whether it is a “technical” or “political” line, but it is a question of goat’s wool: seeking maximum efficiency in operational structures is a political imperative, which every government is called upon to satisfy.
