Special buses have been announced recently to facilitate the people of their hometown to celebrate Pongal.

Southern Railway has announced special trains from Chennai to the southern districts of Tamil Nadu ahead of the Pongal festival. The high speed special train will leave Tambaram at 9.45 pm on January 12 to reach Nellai. In the return direction, the train will leave Nellai at 9.30 pm on January 13 to reach Tambaram.

The special train will leave Egmore at 3.30 pm on January 13 and reach Nagercoil at 3.10 pm on January 14.
