Nelson Lemus Cruz took office as the first vice minister of the Ethnic and Peasant Peoples of the country. Originally from the Nasa people, he has a degree in Social Sciences and Anthropology from the Pontificia Bolivariana University.
With an outstanding career as a counselor of the Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca (CRIC), coordinator of the NASA Project and advisor in different government bodies, Lemus Cruz assumes this new role with the commitment to promote and protect the rights of the peoples and ethnic communities of Colombia.
