Nepal announced this Monday the ban of the social network TikTok due to the negative effects that the application causes on the “harmony” from the country.
The popular platform on which videos are shared, and which has about 1 billion usershas restrictions in several countries and is accused of violating data laws.
“The decision to ban it was made today and the authorities are taking care of the technical issues”reported the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma.
Sharma remarked that the Executive made the decision because the platform is used to share content that puts the “social peace and that seek to affect social relations”.
