India’s largest information technology (IT) services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has posted a profit of Rs 9,478 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal.
The company said in its financial results released on Friday:
The company posted a net profit from operations of Rs 9,478 crore in the first quarter ended June 30. This was 5.2 percent higher than the profit earned in the April-June quarter of the previous fiscal year 2021-22.
During the accounting period, the company’s overall revenue rose 16.2 percent to Rs 52,758 crore.
Dividend: TCS announced that it has decided to pay an interim dividend of Rs 8 for each share of face value of Rs 1 to the shareholders of the company.
