The leader of the right and the chairman of the opposition Binyamin Netanyahu this evening (Thursday) strongly attacked the despised election committee at an event in Lod, against the background of the disqualification of Amichai Shikli.
Netanyahu angrily said: “The election committee is trying to overthrow the right-wing government even before the elections. They disqualify Shikli but keep Michal Shir. They disqualify Amichai Shikli and leave Ahmed Tibi who says that Nasrallah is a model and an example.”
“We are disqualifying Balad but leaving Tibi and Ayman Odeh, because this is an addictive game whose goal is to overthrow the right and leave the left,” Netanyahu added. “I’m turning to the head of the committee – why play? Do the trick: disqualify the Likud and Halas. It’s not a trial, it’s not justice, it’s a politically addicted game and we’ll give it one answer at the ballot box, with all our might.”
