Netanyahu decided: the dismissed drivers will be returned to the Prime Minister’s motorcade

by time news

The three drivers of the Prime Minister’s motorcade reported to the Prime Minister’s office this morning (Thursday) and were assigned to work next week to return to the motorcade from which they were removed, News 12 reported.

According to the report, the decision comes after they were removed from the position after many years of service, and after they appealed against the decision to assign them to other positions.

Yesterday the Labor Court issued a temporary order according to which “the applicants must be reinstated to their position as drivers in the Prime Minister’s motorcade immediately”.

The temporary order ordered the Prime Minister’s Office to immediately carry out the directive of the Legal Adviser to the Government and her deputy. “The orders will only apply to the return of the applicants as drivers in the Prime Minister’s motorcade, as opposed to the drivers of the Prime Minister himself.”

In a statement submitted on behalf of the state, it is stated that contrary to Netanyahu’s position, “any instruction received together to change the role, position or status of the drivers in the ministry, contrary to the limitations set forth in the chief of staff’s conflict of interest settlement, must be canceled.”

It was noted that the examination of the request of the Prime Minister’s Office, according to which the drivers will no longer work in the service of the Prime Minister, requires action in two stages: “One, the examination of the matter in the aspect of settling the conflict of interest in a manner that will be submitted by the Prime Minister’s Office, this is due to their being witnesses in the trial of the Prime Minister. The second , and as long as the aforementioned reference is answered in the affirmative, the examination of the matter in accordance with the rules of labor law.”
