Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (75) was discharged from the hospital four days after prostatectomy surgery.

According to Israeli media such as YNet on the 2nd (local time), the Prime Minister’s Office announced that Prime Minister Netanyahu completed successful prostate surgery and was discharged from the hospital late that afternoon.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said through the social media

“The attending physician reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s condition is stable and that he is recovering satisfactorily after surgery,” the hospital said in a statement.

He added that additional recovery is necessary and that medical follow-up following the surgery will continue.

Medical staff recommended that Prime Minister Netanyahu recover and rest for two weeks.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is scheduled to face a trial on corruption charges next week, but is expected to request a postponement.

Previously, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s lawyers requested that the defendant’s interrogation be halted, saying that the surgery required general anesthesia and that he would still have to recover in the hospital afterwards. The court accepted this and decided to suspend it for three days.

Prime Minister Netanyahu underwent prostatectomy surgery on the 29th of last month after being diagnosed with a urinary tract infection caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia.

He also underwent surgery to insert a pacemaker in July of last year.
