Jerusalem: Liquid Party Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu, a former prime minister, will be tasked with forming a new government in Israel. President Isaac Herzog announced the decision after the election.

Netanyahu’s name was proposed by the 64-member Senate. 28 members proposed the name of Yer Lipid, Chairman of the Yesh Ated Party. 28 members abstained. Then came the invitation from the President’s office to form the government. The government should be formed within 28 days.
