“Netanyahu informed us”: Religious Zionism reveals who will be appointed Minister of Justice

by time news

Member of Knesset Orit Strock (Religious Zionism) spoke today (Sunday) with Yanon Magal and Ben Caspit on 103FM about the violent riots that broke out last night in Hebron during which an Israeli citizen attacked an IDF soldier with a stick and strongly condemned the incident. Later, she referred to the stalled coalition negotiations due to The demand of the chairman of her party, Bezalel Smotritz, for the position of Minister of Defense, and she firmly rejected the claim that he was offered the position of Minister of Justice: “a lousy spin”.

Lapid strongly condemned the attack on the female soldier in Hebron: “a national disgrace and a breach of security”

Struck added and emphasized: “I heard Netanyahu’s threat that he is thinking of going to the elections if we insist on the security portfolio – the electorate that mobilized en masse to get right-wing will not forgive him for such a thing and I suggest that he not try to go in that direction.”

On the possibility of Smotrich receiving the justice case, she said: “I want to stop the wretched spin around the issue of the justice case – Netanyahu has already informed us that he is designating Yariv Levin for justice and we see this appointment as a very welcome appointment.”

On Smotrich’s demands in the coalition negotiations: “In a ‘puzzling’ way, we insist that we want to keep the promises to our voters. We promised a change in security, settlement and the justice system. We promised a significant change in all issues related to security – with all due respect, the Likud will not determine for us what our core issues are.”

Strock was also asked about the events in Hebron and strongly condemned: “The soldier who was attacked is my neighbor, a girl who grew up in our community. We take the riot that was very, very seriously.”
