Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu today (Thursday) visited Golani soldiers from the 51st and 13th battalions at a gathering area near Gaza.
Netanyahu spoke with the fighters of the battalions, and heard from them about the fighting spirit. The commander of the ground arm, Major General Tamir Yedai, was also present. Yedai told about the difficult battles in which the battalions took part in the first days of the war and the preparation for the continuation of the fighting.
The visit was also accompanied by the commander of the Golani Brigade, Col. Yair Plai, the commander of the 51st Battalion, Lt. Col. Meir Ohion, and the commander of the 13th Battalion, Lt. Col. Tomer Greenberg.
Prime Minister Netanyahu: “I am here with Golani’s fighters, who come from all parts of the country. They fought like lions and will fight like lions. We are going to win with all our strength. The entire nation of Israel is behind you, and we will deal the hardest blow to our enemies so that we achieve victory.”
