Netanyahu’s photo was removed from the Prime Minister’s office and this is the reason

by time news

Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu left the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem in June of last year, with the inauguration of the 36th Israeli government and the entry of Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid into Israel’s highest political office. This marked the end of 12 consecutive years of office, in addition to the three years two decades ago.

Therefore, how great was the surprise when we noticed an unusual sight this morning (Sunday). At the entrance to the prime minister’s office in Jerusalem, on the way to the cabinet meeting, the photo of the Likud chairman was missing. When we looked into the matter, officials in the Prime Minister’s Office told Kipa News that Netanyahu’s picture was taken in order to copy the exact measurements for the picture of the next in line, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who is currently working on his picture that will be on the wall soon. After several hours, Netanyahu’s picture was returned to the wall. As you may recall, a few weeks ago Bennett made way for his rotation partner, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.

Former minister Ayoob Kara responded to the removal of Netanyahu’s photo and said: “Taking down Benjamin Netanyahu’s photo from the wall of photos of all the prime ministers at the entrance to the prime minister’s office is a provocation against the entire nationalist camp. It is interesting that precisely now before the elections Benjamin Netanyahu’s photo, which is relatively new, needs a new frame On behalf of the entire national camp and the Likud, I demand that Netanyahu’s picture be immediately returned to its rightful place along with the pictures of all the prime ministers in the State of Israel.”
