SpongeBob is back! The streaming platform, Netflixsurprised the lovers of the cartoon created by Stephen Hillenburg after announcing the release date of “Bikini Bottom Rescue: Sandy Cheeks Movie“.
This Wednesday, July 24, the Red Giant unveiled the teaser and release date of the new SpongeBob movie, which will focus on Sandy Cheeks.

What will ‘Bikini Bottom Rescue’ be about?
According to the synopsis and after the teaser released, in which SpongeBob mentions “Everyone I loved is gone” while at the same time you can see how the bucket of an excavator enters Bikini Bottom, the film will follow ‘Sandy Cheeks’ and her friend Bob, with whom they will embark on a trip to Texas, to save their home from an evil villain’s plan…
Squidward, for his part, doesn’t think he has much faith in the pair, so he even mentions “We’re lost.”

When it premieres?
The film will be the first in a series of spin-off films from the streaming series announced by Nickelodeon in 2020. It will be released on the platform on August 2, 2024 worldwide.
It is worth noting that a cyber attack on Netflix and Paramount recently had leaked the images and the story of the entire film; however, these were removed from the network and the film would finally reach the streaming platform in just under fifteen days.
