Netflix expands the worlds of its movies and series through games

by time news

It’s been a little over a year since Netflix launched games to bring more entertainment to subscribers as part of their Netflix subscription. In this short time, the company released 55 games, with another 40 planned for the rest of the year and 70 in development with its external partners. That’s in addition to the 16 games currently being developed by Netflix’s in-house game studios. The company’s goal is to develop a wide portfolio of games – in different genres and formats. Netflix believes that everyone can find the right game for them.

This year, Netflix will continue to build its portfolio – and that means new games every month. Subscribers will discover games developed by independent developers (indie games), award-winning hits, role-playing games (RPG), adventures, puzzle games and everything in between. Netflix partners with the world’s top studios to bring these games.

What does the future hold?

One of the company’s most played games to date is Too Hot to Handle: Love is a Game, based on the popular dating show Too Hot to Handle which is unscripted. Netflix saw an influx of viewers to the title when it was released alongside Season 4 of the series and stayed engaged during the game’s weekly drop of episodes.

Netflix continues to collaborate with Nanobit to release a new Too Hot to Handle game later this year. Too Hot to Handle: Love is a Game – “Talent Plays” Video
