Netflix has started some experiments with its games derived from its intellectual titles in the world of television.
The famous company has increased its focus on the smartphone gaming market over the past year. It started with the release of some . inspired games Stranger Things August of 2021, and then gradually added more titles, as well as acquiring independent studios dedicated to smartphone games.
Apparently, preparations are underway to make some improvements regarding the gaming platform itself. He says he’s discovered hints of new features in the Netflix smartphone app. According to reports, Netflix is using the term “Gamer Name” as a “distinguished generic name for playing games on Netflix.”
What’s worth noting is that Netflix has been experimenting with custom gaming usernames for a while. According to a TechCrunch report, Netflix released the names of the players for Into the Breach on July 19. The experience then extended to Bowling Ballers, Mahjong Solitaire, and Heads Up!
It doesn’t make sense for the company to provide names to players on its own, and Moser believes that information gleaned from the Netflix smartphone app suggests a plan to use those names for “invitations to play multiplayer games and record lists” across its library of mobile games.
“We’re always looking at how to improve the user experience and exploring different features that can enrich your Netflix gaming experiences,” a Netflix official told TechCrunch. “We don’t have anything else to share at the moment.”
