The newspaper reported that the platform will scale up in “several markets globally,” starting with the United States and Canada. In 2022, the streaming service will increase the price of all its plans. In Brazil, the plan without the presence of ads costs around R$39.90 and R$55.90. The company removed the basic ad-free plan for new subscribers and a standard ad-supported plan was launched. The value is R$18.90 per month. Earlier this year, Netflix started charging a fee for users who share accounts with people who don’t live in the same household. For each login, the platform charges an additional R$12.90 per month. The writers ended the strike on September 26, after 148 days. This was the second longest strike in the history of the Writers Guild of America. The provisional agreement reached between the studios and streaming unions, however, is not defined. For the agreement to be signed, the 11,500 screenwriters must vote to ratify the contract. One of the points of the contract provides streaming writers with a minimum pay increase of 18% for films that require a larger budget. In addition, a 26% increase in waste.
