Somewhat surprisingly, Israel is ranked by Netflix among the countries where the streaming experience is the best, for two consecutive months (September-October), after until August it was ranked in lower places. In doing so, we joined the list of 31 countries in total that offer the best Netflix streaming experience, along with Australia, USA, UK, Germany, Denmark, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Canada, Switzerland and more.

Surprisingly, no less than three Internet providers in Israel are screwing up the maximum level of streaming performance for Netflix: Cellcom, Hot and Partner, all of which offer an average speed of 3.6 megabits per second in what Netflix calls “prime time” – that is, peak hours. Hot’s data was measured on its fiber infrastructure, Cellcom was measured on Bezeq’s landline infrastructure and its optical fiber (which it shares with Hot and every company that offers service through the Unlimited infrastructure), and Partner was measured on Bezeq’s infrastructure, cables and fiber.
