Family imprisoned, engaging investigation… Netflix subscribers have discovered a breathtaking new series released this week on the streaming platform.
Every week, Netflix offers new products for its subscribers. And sometimes, certain international productions which are not necessarily blockbusters manage to attract the curiosity of the spectators. Faced with the One Piece juggernaut, a real blockbuster of the moment, a German mini-series released on August 7, 2023 has managed to hold its own and establish itself as one of the flagship programs of the moment.
Some Netflix subscribers have praised this new series, “Chère petite”, on social networks. And suffice to say that they have no shortage of praise for this thriller which “grips the guts”, as one of them writes. A user of the social network X, formerly known as Twitter, even calls it “crazy”, lamenting that the plot developed in the series has “happened to a lot of women”.
Another strongly advises “Dear little” to “lovers of investigations, thrillers and mystery”, which offers “a breathless, psychological and addictive scenario”. If the series has six episodes, a “Twittos” describes the first as “very good. The plot of this disappearance is captivating! The only flaw is that it’s too short.”
Internet users are not the only ones to praise the series, since the media have not failed to give positive reviews. For Télérama, the series weaves “a labyrinth from which we do not want to get out”, describing the program as “ambitious and atypical”. For its part, Allociné welcomes “a vigorous investigation and a series of twists and turns which even questions the true role of the victims”.
“Dear Little” is a psychological thriller in the same vein as the films “Room” or “Gone Girl”. It is inspired by the novel written by the writer Romy Hausmann in 2021 and also acclaimed by readers. We follow Lena, a mother imprisoned with her children by her husband. The day she manages to free herself from her captor, she is the victim of a car accident and wakes up in the hospital with her daughter.
