The hostage-taking in a café in the Dutch town of Ede, not far from Arnhem, apparently ended bloodlessly on Saturday. This was announced by a spokesman for the mayor, as the ANP news agency reported. One person left the affected café on Saturday with his arms raised and was taken into police custody. According to the police, all hostages are also free.

A perpetrator held several people in the café for several hours. A large police force cordoned off the area in the center of the city, Dutch media reported.
