Dubai: Netherlands (Netherlands Cricket Team) and Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe Cricket Team) qualified for this year’s Twenty20 World Cup (ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022). Both the teams qualified for the World Cup in Australia by reaching the final of the qualifier round. In the semi-finals, the Netherlands beat the United States by seven wickets and Zimbabwe beat Papua New Guinea by 27 runs.
Netherlands and Zimbabwe have qualified for the World Cup along with Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, Ireland, India, Namibia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, UAE and West Indies. The World Cup will be held at seven venues in Australia from October 16 to November 13.
Team India with hope
It is estimated that India is one of the favorites in the World Cup with the T20 series win against the powerful England. Former England spinner Ashley Giles has stated that the Indian team is the real power house in T20 cricket. Shahid Afridi openly said that India are favorites in the T20 World Cup. The Indian team’s next T20 series is against West Indies. Former skipper Virat Kohli’s lack of form is a headache for Team India ahead of the World Cup.
