According to the minister, this ranking shows the enhanced governance, citizen engagement and overall impact of the government.

India’s global ranking improved

According to the minister, India’s ranking used to be 60 in the year 2023, at that time the score was 49.93. In such a situation, India has achieved 49th rank in the year 2024 with an improvement of 11 places. During this period, India’s score has been 53.63. He said that this reflects the digital infrastructure of India.

Improvement in mobile internet ranking

Let us tell you that mobile internet and broadband coverage has improved in India in the last few years. Along with starting 4G service, India has also rapidly rolled out 5G service in the country. Apart from this, the government has set a target of providing internet to every village through optical fiber as well as air fiber. This scheme of the government is known as BharatNet.
